At long last after four years I have completed my book of Ian’s copious writings, illustrated with his sketches and paintings. I have self published this, through our printers, Typecast Colour who have been a major part of our journey over the last 20-30 years printing our calendars, prints and cards and I am thrilled with the quality of the resulting book which they have produced for me.
The book is landscape 12” x 8” (300 x 210) 142 pages with over 35 full colour paintings, numerous sketches and full of Ian’s stories of his daily nature rambles through the year in our beautiful rural villages of Shipbourne and Plaxtol in Kent which he wrote over many years for a local monthly magazine during our life together there.

Also his records of birdwatching trips and adventures over several visits to Scotland and the islands which he loved so much and inspired a lot of his paintings.
I have loved putting this together, re-living memories and choosing illustrations from his vast archive of work to illustrate his text, it is all Ian’s work and writings, I dared not edit! I am also delighted that Dame Kiri Te Kanewa has written a Forward for the book for me, a customer and then a great friend.
